This study is aimed to evaluate the effects of interpersonal relation improvements program for college students. Main activities of the program were consisted of 8 weeks sessions. Equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was employed for this study. 37 college students voluntarily participated in the group counseling of career exploration. Another 37 students were selected for the control group of this study design. The Interpersonal Scale(53 items) with three sub-scales(Intiatives, Sociability, and Self-confidence) were administered to both of the experimental and the control groups before and after 8 weeks treatments.
The differences of posttest scores and pretest scores of the experimental group in three subscores and total score of The interpersonal Scale were compared with the those of control group. The results of the comparison showed that the differences(program effects) of experimental group in all scale scores were higher than those of control group. In conclusion, the interpersonal program had significant effects on the improvements of interpersonal relations of college students.
