과학 교사 모임과 인터넷 사이트를 활용한 과학 교사의 전문성 향상 방안

국문 초록 (Abstract)

교육은 국가의 발전에 큰 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소이므로 국가적인차원에서 계획되고 수행되어야 한다는 점은 명백하다.또한 현대 국가 발전에 있어서 가장 중요한 경쟁력은 기술력이고 그 기술력의 바탕은 과학교육에 있다고 해도 과언이 아닐 것이다.따라서 과학 교육을 담당하는 과학 교사의 전문성은 바로 그 국가 기술력 및 경쟁력과 직결된다고 말할수 있을 것이다.그러나 현재의 과학 교사의 전문성 향상을 위한 방안들은수십 년간 답습되어 오던 방식에서 크게 벗어나지 못하고 있다.이런 현실을 감안할 때 과학 교사의 전문성 향상을 위해서는 실현 가능한 방안과실행력이 있는 변화 주체가 필요하다.본 연구에서는 과학 교사들의 현재 업무 상황을 감안하여,과학 교사들이 필요로 하는 커리큘럼을 스스로 개발하며 활발히 연구 활동을 할 수있는 방안으로서 과학 교사 모임과,과학 교육 인터넷 사이트를 연계해서활용하는 방안을 제안한다.이 방안은 과학 교사의 학문적 전문성뿐만 아니라 직무 전문성도 향상시킬 수 있는 대안으로서 제시된다.또한 이 방안- viii -의 활성화를 위해서는 관련 교육관청의 실질적인 지원 및 적극적인 참여가 가장 중요하다는 점이 강조되었다.또한 과학 교사 모임과 과학 교육인터넷 사이트를 연계하는 방안은 자율학습의 성격이 강하므로 이런 자율학습의 결과를 측정하기 위한 도구로 교사 자기 평가 방식의 활용을 접목시켜 보았다.위의 연구 조사에 대한 결론은 과학 교육 관련 국내외 인터넷 사이트의구성과 제공하는 자료에 대한 조사와,과학 교사 147명을 대상으로 진행한설문조사를 토대로 이론적 근거를 뒷받침했다.국내의 과학 교사 모임은전문성 향상에 많은 도움을 주고는 있지만 지역적인 편차나 물리적 제약등이 개선되어야 한다는 결과가 나왔다.또한 외국의 NGO 형태로 운영되는 과학 교사 모임과 인터넷 사이트들을 casestudy한 결과 국내 인터넷사이트들의 개선점들도 도출되었다.설문조사를 통해서는 과학 교사들도과학 교사 모임과 인터넷 사이트의 연계방안이 전문성 향상에 도움이 된다는 결과가 나왔다.또한 이 방법을 통한 학습 후 평가방식으로 교사 자기 평가에 대한 긍정적인 답변이 가장 많이 나와 이에 대한 제언이 이루어졌다

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It is very definite that education should be proceeded by nation with national plan since education has strong impact on national development. In modern national development, the most competitive power comes from technology which is based on science education. Thus, the speciality of science teachers who are in charge of science education directly connects to national power of technology. However, current schemes have maintained methods which have been kept on for dozens of years. Considering this current situation, the feasibility of this scheme and core organization to lead it are very essential to manage the profession of science teachers.In this research, regarding the current professional situation of science teachers, a scheme to link between science teachers' association and web sites for science education is suggested to make science teachers develop their own curriculum which they really need and participate research activities. This scheme also suggests the alternatives which improve their professional specialty as well as the academic specialty of science teachers. But, first of all, the active participation of ministry of education and relevant governmental organizations should be advanced to activate this scheme practically. Besides. a scheme to link between science teachers' association and web sites for science education is intended mainly to self-study. For this reason, the self-assessment of teacher could be the appropriate method to estimate the result of this scheme characterized as self-study.The results of this research above are supported by in-depth researches of structures and included information about domestic and international web sites of science education and surveys of 147 science teachers on present service. The results shows that, although science teachers' association help science teachers to improve their specialty, there are territorial difference and physical limitation which should be reduced. Comparing to international science teachers' association and web sites for science education, there are many things that should be improved.According to surveys, most science teachers think that a scheme to link between science teachers' association and web sites for science education is very helpful to improve their specialty. Also they agreed that, activating this scheme, administrative assistances have to be based on. In addition, they responded positively on the self-assessment of teachers estimating study effects after using this scheme.
