덕 윤리의 환경윤리적 함의

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Humans have necessary relationship whith nature. because Humans are themselves a part of nature. what contents of relationdship Humans have to do with nature is determinded. I believe environmental ehtics dependons on what contents of relationdship Humans have to do with nature. I think the enquiry of an environmental ehtics is not complete without discussing humans' caracter concerning environment
I discussed first whether environmental virtue is possible. In order to advocate the possibility of environmental virtue, I argued the virtue of benevolence, so called human virtue, is expanded and is applicable to environmental field. And I discussed the environmental virtue ethics, if possible, also is divided into two versions, supplement version and substitute version. The environmental virtue ethics has different contents from each of version.
The environmental virtue ethics could have, it will be said, some disadventage, so called, lack of ability in action guidance, what does'nt virtuous person result a good effect, what standard make distinguishing virtueos person and nonvirtueous person. But I discussed these are not shortcomings of environmental virtue ethics. because this opinion concerning about defects of environmental virtue ethics is caused by their misunderstood of environmental virtue ethics.
The environmental virtue ethics will be come out from this my discussing.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

인간과 자연의 관계는 필수적이지만, 그 관계 내용은 다양하며, 어떤 내용의 관계를 맺을 것인지는 우리가 결정해야 할 윤리적인 문제이다. 여기에서 환경 윤리의 가능성을 엿볼 수 있다. 환경 윤리는 그 동안 환경 행위 윤리라고 불리는 관점에서 주로 논의되어 왔다. 그러나 모든 윤리적 탐구가 그러하듯이 환경 윤리에서도 환경과 관련한 성품에 관한 해명이 없이는 불완전한 상태에 머물러 있을 뿐이다. 환경 덕 윤리의 가능성을 타진하기 위하여 환경적 덕으로 확장 가능성에 대해 먼저 논의하였다. 우리가 일반적 덕으로 알고 있는 ‘선의’가 환경 영역에서도 적용될 수 있는지, 즉 자연 일반에 선의를 갖는 성품이 가능한지를 살펴보고서, 이에 제기될 수 있는 반론들에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 토대로 환경 덕 윤리가 설정된다면, 그 환경 덕 윤리가 어떤 유형으로 나타날 것인지도 논의하였다. 이 유형은 통상 덕 윤리학자들이 말하는 ‘보완적 견해’와 ‘대체 견해’로 구분해 보았다. 그리고 환경 덕 윤리에 제기 될 수 있는, 즉 행위 결정력의 결여, 덕이 항상 좋은 결과를 갖지 않는다는 점, 유덕한 사람과 그렇지 않은 사람을 식별하기 어렵다는 점 등, 세 가지 문제점에 대한 해명을 시도하였다. 이 논의 전 과정을 통해 환경 윤리에 대한 덕 윤리적 관점이 개괄적으로 모습이 드러났다고 생각한다.
