밀집시가지 현지개량방식 주거환경개선사업지구의 유형화 및 정비방향 연구 = 서울과 전국의 105개 현지개량 및 수복형 지구의 물리적 특성을 중심으로

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims at proposing the improvement schemes for the Upgrading District in the Residential Environment Improvement Program. To do this, it analyzes the problems, makes a category of the physical characters, and examines the current conditions. There is little doubt that Low-Income Housing Improvement Project has contributed to improvement of the residential environment for low-income communities; but, the problems resulted from the demolition-oriented tool, such as decrease of the resettlement rate and devastation of the existing community, still remain. This paper has found that the common characters of Self-help Improvement District are that environment of community is deteriorated due to the concentration of tiny lots and lack of proper streets; and that the percentage of young people is being decreased while an aging society is being accelerated. This paper proposes the three improvement schemes based on such findings: 1) a mixed approach of a lot-unit and a block-unit development for a district where sound and deteriorated environments are mixed, 2) a gradual-improvement approach based on lot-unit development while keeping existing communities, and 3) an entire improvement approach based on district-unit development for an area where it is hard to keep the existing community structures.
