유아 측정활동에 대한 교사의 인식 및 현황 조사 = Research on teacher's perception and the current conditions about the measurement activity for young children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아교육기관에서 이루어지는 측정활동에 대한 교사의 인식과 현황을 알아보고, 그 내용이 유아 연령 및 교사 변인에 따라 어떻게 나타나고 있는지를 알아보고자 한다. 유아수학교육 중 측정에 대한 활동이 구체적으로 어떻게 이루어지고 있는가를 알아봄으로써, 그것을 바탕으로 효율적인 유아 측정활동의 방향을 설정하는데 도움이 되고자 하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 선정하였다.
1. 유아 연령에 따른 측정활동에 대한 교사의 인식과 실시 현황은 차이가 있는가?
2. 교사 배경 변인에 따른 측정활동에 대한 교사의 인식과 실시 현황은 차이가 있는가?
2-1. 교사 학력에 따른 측정활동에 대한 인식과 실시 현황은 차이가 있는가?
2-2. 교사 경력에 따른 측정활동에 대한 인식과 실시 현황은 차이가 있는가?
위와 같은 문제를 알아보기 위해 서울 및 경기도에 위치한 유아교육 기관의 교사 300명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 방법은 유아 측정활동에 대한 교사의 인식 및 현황을 분석하기 위한 설문문항을 구성하여 예비 조사를 거쳐 수정·보완한 후, 본 조사를 실시하는 과정으로 이루어졌다. 자료 분석은 측정활동에 대한 교사의 인식은 평균과 표준편차를 통하여 살펴보았으며, 측정활동 실시 현황은 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 이러한 결과에 대한 유아 연령과 교사 변인에 따른 차이를 알아보기 위해 x^(2) 검증 및 t-test, 일원변량분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 유아 연령에 따른 측정활동에 대한 교사의 인식은 의미있는 차이를 나타내지 않았으나, 전반적인 측정 가능한 속성(길이, 넓이, 용량(부피), 무게, 시간)에 따른 활동 정도에 있어서는 차이를 나타냈다. 구체적으로 길이 측정활동에서 연령 간 활동이 이루어지는 시간의 차이가 두드러졌다.
둘째, 교사의 학력에 따른 측정활동에 대한 인식은 목적, 계획, 내용에서 모두 의미있는 차이를 나타냈다. 또한 전반적인 측정 가능한 속성 및 측정 기술을 기준으로 한 활동 현황에서도 차이를 보였으며, 이는 구체적인 속성에 대해서도 통계적으로 의미있는 차이를 도출하였다. 교수-학습 과정에 있어서도 활동을 진행하는 인원 구성에 있어서의 차이가 의미있게 나타났다.
셋째, 교사의 경력에 따른 측정활동에 대한 인식과 전반적인 측정 가능한 속성 및 측정 기술에 따른 현황에서는 의미있는 차이가 없었다. 그러나 구체적으로 넓이, 용량(부피), 무게, 시간 내에서는 이루어지는 시간과 활동 정도에서 의미있는 차이가 나타나기도 하였다.
나타난 결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 유아교육기관의 측정활동 현황은 유아의 연령 및 교사의 학력, 경력에 따라 다르게 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to research teacher's perception and the current conditions about the measurement activity for young children and then to investigate the differences according to the young children's age and the variables of teachers. Through this study, I wish to contribute the efficient measurement activity for young children.
The following questions were established in order to achieve the study's purpose.
1. Is there any difference to the teacher's perception and the current conditions about the measurement activity according to young children's age?
2. Is there any difference to the teacher's perception and the current conditions about the measurement activity according to teacher's variables?
2-1. Is there any difference to the teacher's perception and the current conditions about the measurement activity according to teacher's educational background?
2-2. Is there any difference to the teacher's perception and the current conditions about the measurement activity according to teacher's educational career?
This study collected data from early childhood educational Institution in Seoul and Kyunggi-do through questionnaires. Frequency and content analyses were conducted with the use of the SPSS program.
The research findings can be summarized as follows:
First, there was not any difference to the teacher's perception about the measurement activity according to young children's age. But there was difference to activity rate according to general measurable content(length, width, capacity, weight, time). Concretely there was difference to a length measurement activity time slot according to young children's age.
Second, there was difference to the teacher's perception and the current conditions about the measurement activity according to teacher's educational background. And there was difference to group size in activity according to teacher's educational background.
Third, there was not any difference to the teacher's perception and the general current conditions about the measurement activity according to teacher's educational career. But, concretely there was difference to rate and time slot in width, capacity, weight and time measurement activity.
In conclusion, there was difference to the teacher's perception and the general current conditions about the measurement activity according to young children's age, teacher's educational background and career.
