애니메이션 <겨울왕국> 음악적 특징 연구: "Let It Go"를 중심으로 = A Study on Musical Features of Animation <Frozen>: Focus on "Let It Go"

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 디즈니 애니메이션 < 겨울왕국 >의 음악 중 아카데미 주제가 상을 받은 “Let It Go”가 영화의 스토리텔링에 있어 노래 곡의 가사가 영상에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 영화음악은 음악적 요소를 통해 내러티브를 보조하고 있으며, 특히 노래 곡의 사용을 통해 연출자의 의도를 직접적으로 나타냈다. 노래 곡은 가사를 통해 영화의 스토리텔링을 하고 있을 뿐 아니라 다양한 음악적 요소들을 통해 영상의 분위기를 좌우한다. 연구 방법으로는 “Let It Go” 작곡가인 로버트 로페즈와 크리스틴 앤더슨 로페즈의 생애와 작품세계를 살펴보고, < 겨울왕국 > 제작배경을 통해 이 노래의 제작 의도를 파악한후, 음악분석을 통한 영상과 음악의 상관관계를 알아보고자 한다.

This paper studies the musical features of the Academy Award for Best Original Song winning "Let it go", from Disney animation < Frozen >. Music in the movie supports the narrative through musical factors, and especially the song used directly shows the producer``s intention. A song not only takes part in movie``s storytelling by lyrics, but also through musical elements dominates the atmosphere of the images. Hence, following paper focuses on the effect of lyrics of a song on the images in a sense of movie storytelling. For study methods: First, this paper looks into Robert and Kristen-Anderson Lopez``s, composers of the song "Let it go", life and works. Second, it comprehends the purpose of production through understanding the producing background of the movie < Frozen >. Last, it tries to grasp the correlation between image and music through musical analysis.
