The puposes of this study were first, to invesgate the type of mainstreaming for hearing-impaired students. second, to invesgate the way of adjustment of H-I students to normal hearing schools, and third, to study kind of follow up services for the H-I students.
The subjects of this study were 56 H-I students who were enrolled in elemently school, junior and senior high schools, and 56 parents of them.
The summary of the results are followings.
1. Mothers with H-I students had mostly influenced the dicison on their children's teacher made compromised opinion with children's mainstreaming.
2. The intergrated H-I students often had troubled to understand what their teachers said, and they matually felt difficultes to communicate.
The reasons for it were that the H-I studens couldn't hear their teachers well, and the contents of teachers speech were too difficult for them.
3. They showed positive thoughts on the relationship with their normal hearing peers because they felt their hearing peers were very kinds to them. in relation-ship with H-I friends, although they like H-I friends helped them better than H-I peers did.
4. The mainstreamed students attended in the meeting in H-I school if no special reasons because were able to meet their old H-I friends.
5. The parent with mainstreamed children showed high degree on satisfaction with their children's adjustment to normal hearing school.
The benefit of mainstreaming they felt was that their children have had positive posonality.
