생태관광 인식이 관광개발에 대한 태도 및 참여의도에 미치는 영향: 케냐 생태관광지역을 중심으로 = Effects of Residents’ Perception of Ecotourism on Participation Intention through Attitude toward Tourism Development: Focusing on Ecotourism Destinations in Kenya

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As ecotourism concerns increase, there are efforts to reduce negative impacts to local community and to improve ecotourists’satisfaction. The purpose of this paper was to explore the relationships between residents’perception, attitude, and participation intention toward ecotourism. The results of this paper indicated that there was significant relationships between residents’perception and attitude toward tourism development. Residents’attitude toward tourism development had a significant impact on participation intention. Additionally, there was a positive structural relationships among residents’perception, attitude, and participation intention. Future study is needed to identify the relationships between residents’perception, attitude, and participation intention through the qualitative approaches, including an in-depth interview.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

생태관광에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 지역사회에 미치는 영향을 최소화하고 관광객 만족을 제고시키려는 노력이 나타나고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 생태관광에 대한 지역주민들의 인식수준을 파악하고, 생태관광의 인식수준이 관광개발에 대한 태도와 참여의도에 미치는 영향관계를 분석하였다. 생태관광에 대한 지역주민들의 인식수준은 긍정적·부정적 측면으로 구분되었으며, 생태관광의 긍정직 인식은 관광개발 태도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 생태관광의 부정적 인식과 관광개발 태도와는 관련성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 관광개발에 대한 지역주민의 태도는 참여의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 결론적으로 생태관광의 인식수준이 관광개발에 대한 지역주민의 태도 및 참여의도와 구조적인 영향관계가 확인되었다. 향후 연구에서는 지역주민들 대상으로 한 심층 인터뷰 등 정성적 접근방법을 통한 생태관광의 인식 및 태도에 대한 심도 있는 접근이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
