中國當代流行語硏究 = A Study on Chinese Contemporary Faddish Words

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper compares Korean and Chinese contemparary faddish words and deals with their new fashioned characteristics and its literary-historic meaning.
Author points out three characteristics of faddish words: 1. fashionable; 2. widespred; 3. vivid.
Namely faddish words should be words or unique sentence rules which is spread out in recent years on the degree of nationwide, and they should be so dynamic and strange that people should enjoy to use. As stuying faddish words, we could know the cultural trend of the time, and also know the peoples interest, their relations and a sense of history.
Mentioning the relationship between language and culture, author describes culture does not unilaterlally influence languange, but they work mutualy. In the final part of the paper, author compares Korean and Chinese faddish detaily and shows a principle of translating.
Author emphasizes that translation is not just change of sign, although says that based upon translators complete understanding, translator should newly work in the place of the translated language.
