This study aimed to evaluate the effects of aroma hand massage on stress and fatigue in college students. A quasi-experimental pre-post design was used, and the
data of 48 participants (24 in each group) were analyzed. The intervention effects were assessed through physical stress, psychological stress, and fatigue. The data
were analyzed through SPSS 18.0, using descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, and t-tests. The experimental and control groups had similar demographics. Aroma hand
massage was effective in increasing physical stress (p<.001), psychological stress (p<.001) and fatigue (p<.001) of members of the experimental group for the better. This study was meaningful in that aroma hand massage, which can be easily applied and utilized as an intervention for disease prevention and health promotion,
is effective not only for effective stress and fatigue management for college students who are aware of stress and fatigue due to various factors.
