This is the introductory paper of Systematic Studies of the Korean Gynmosperms. To elucidate the relationships among them, three parts works were performed ; external morphology, wood anatomy, and pollen morphology.
As the results, three parts works were well consisted with the seperation of the Genus Pinus into two Subenus, Haploxylon and Diploxylon. And wood anatomical features strongly indicated that the Genus Cephalotaxus which was treated as a seperate family by some authors (Engler, 1926 ; Nakai, 1952 ; Cronquist et al., 1966) was different from the Genus Taxus and Torreya.
