무도(武道)에 대한 코페르니쿠스적 전환 = Copernican Change of Martial Art

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to change the ideas by reconfiguring the meaning of courtesy(`ye`) to reverse the change of martial art(Mooye) into martial courtesy(Moodo) under the rule of Japanese Imperialism. At present, Korean martial courtesy was divided into the terminology of Moodo, Mooye and Moosul and it is evitable that we consider the change of terminology as well as the change of academic subject and method. The task of Korean martial art is in the value innovation. Mooye, Moosul and Moodo imply the tradition which is the original value. However, as oriental martial art(Moodo) has been implemented into a form of sports and a complex terminology of martial art sport(Moodo sports)has been used for past one century, there has not been a theoretic development that can consolidate heterogeneous concept of orient and west. Therefore, through our traditional martial art, especially Taekkyon, the researcher establishes the common denominator between martial art and sports to represent the alternative. For this, the researcher tried to investigate the declared value of armed martial art that was absorbed into the concept of armless martial art and to examine a fair word of oriental martial art having superior consciousness compared to sports while denying a play. This series of discussion is aimed at exploring a new area to expand the value of martial art by escaping from the attempt to gain superior position or in opposition to the existing martial art. This should be the development strategy of Korean martial art.
