여성 스포츠웨어 변천에 따른 스포츠 성 상품화 재해석 = A Reinterpreted Study On The Women Sportswear And Sexual Commercialization

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Giving attention to the ‘Erotic Capital’, this research reinterpreted existing arguments that are negatively treating the subject of commercialization of sex in keeping with the transition of women’s sportswear. The period when the modern sport was introduced, the social atmosphere forbade the women’s body exposure while the sportswear of basketball, swimming, etc. began to settle as time passes. This transformation implies sexual attractiveness due to the body exposure in terms of functional aspect of the sport. In addition, it contributed to the feminist movement by encouraging women’s participation in the sports field. As time changes, the matter of commercialization of women’s sex caused a controversy, discontinuing sportswear practice of exposing the body and the Miss Korea Beauty Contest. Considering the transformation of women’s sportswear in terms of the erotic capital that Catherine Hakim claimed, however, it is identified that this erotic capital is more advantageous for women than men.
