This study aimed to analyze the general perception for the day care centers by parents who are sending their children to day care centers located in Pusan city and whether there is any difference in accordance with education and monthly average income of parents.
The subjects of this study were 597 parents who were sending their children to the day care centers whithin the district of Buk-gu and Sasang-gu, in Pusan city.
For data processing, on the perception for the day care centers, the perception for the day care programs and the perception for the day care center teachers by parents. χ² verification were carried out by percentage according to education and monthly average income of the distinctive features of the subjects of this study by detailed item.
The results of analysis are as follows :
1) Most parents perceived that the day care centers are necessary for their children regardless their education or income.
2) Parents, regardless of their education or income, perceived that the level of children's day care center is the mixed level of protection and education.
3) For the general perception of parents for the day care center teachers, they generally satisfied with them.
