문화지형도의 변화에 따른 여성민요의 전승과 소통 - 성주지역을 중심으로 = Transition in Women’s Folk Songs According to Changes in Cultural Topography

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study inspects how women’s folk songs have changed over time. More specifically, it analyses the characteristic of the folk songs of today’s women. As cultural products, folk songs reveal the creeds and lifestyle of a given traditional community by combining various cultural elements including age, gender, and status. In addition to personal features such as age and gender, community features such as sociocultural environment and ideological background also contribute to the creeds of a performance community. Thus, folk songs can reveal different creeds and perceptions according to the sociocultural environment to which they belong, even though they belong to the same gender and social class. Distinguishing the tradition areas of folk songs and considering the creeds of tradition communities within their sociocultural environments can shed light on the interrelationship between culture and folk songs. In Central Nakdonggang, the women’s folk songs that were transmitted proved to be multifaceted folksongs that exhibited various creeds as women’s folk songs of various types, including merged types, were being passed on and subtypes were created according to the local perception of life realities.
