지방자치제도 시행 이후 시･군 자치단체의 복지재정 지출규모 변화 분석 = An Analysis of Change in Welfare Expenditure of Local Government Since the Launching of Local Autonomy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study intends to empirically examine the financial management of local governments since local autonomy was put into implementation. In particular, it is the main focus of the analysis to see if any changes might happen in the volume of welfare expenditures.
Findings of the analysis indicate that the volume of welfare expenditure of local governments tends to continuously increase since the begining of local autonomy. On the contrary, that of regional development expenditure, an representative indicator for economic development, is not statistically significant.
