This research aims to find out how family resilience affects a married couple adaptation of blended couple, without any negative prejudice and focusing on the point of positive strong point of view. Also, I'd like to find out ways to improve the adaptation of those couples by clearly stating what factors affect them the most.
In order to do so, we surveyed members of remarriage club of I church, located in Inshindong in Incheon, N church in Chungnam, S church in Incheon again and woman organization of J church in Seoul. We used SPSS Window 12.0 statistics program and used technological statistic ways, Pearson mathematical mutual analysis, Ranking and analyzing reoccurrences, T-test and F-test on the collected data.
As a result, the relationship between the family resilience and a married couple adaptation of blended marriage, is in some kind of static and mutual status. However, the eight unimportant factors were related with family resilience without taking into consideration the influences of other factors.
The most important factor of family resilience which showed high mutual relationship with the adaptation of the couples, were familial resources within the organization patterns of the family, stabilizing the roles of family members, controlling the belief system within the family members and the occupying space of the family. The emotional part of communication processes within the family didn't have very much mutual relationship with the married couple adaptation blended couples and family resilience, when compared with other factors.
We looked at the result of the three least important factors of family resilience, the belief system within the family members, organization patterns and the processes of communication. 73 percent checked the belief system, 76 percent checked the organization patterns and 76 percent checked the processes of communication as to what influences the adaptation between the couples and this explains very well what we tried to show in this research.
By going through these results, we were able to find out that the least important factors of family resilience influenced greatly the married couple adaptation of blended couples. Especially, the feeling of control over the belief system, stabilizing role of organization patterns and familial resources, accurate communication process, problem solving, and emotional response did influence the married couple adaptation of blended couples.
Also, when we analyzed what change of factors in family resilience influence the blended couples in a situation where the least important factors of social population change and the least important factors of family resilience were controlled. Compared to the 28 percent which the explanation of the social population change factors recorded, the explanation of family resilience which had eight more factors attached to it, recorded 81 percent. This help us get to the conclusion that family resilience is a very important factor that influences the married couple adaptation of blended couples. As an overall result, the mutual relationship between family resilience and the married couple adaptation of blended couples, explains that there is a dynamic relationship between them, and the higher the family resilience is, the higher the married couple adaptation of blended couples.
Through this research, we can ignore the current social prejudice and mistakes of looking at them negatively, and also learn that the secondly married couples are surviving and recovering from difficulties with the help of the factors of family resilience.
In conclusion, family resilience has been proved to have a positive affect on adaptation of couples. I believe this research is a significant data and also gives basic information to other researches that are based on the relationship between family resilience and the married couple adaptation of blended couples, since no such data exists.
