비행청소년이 인식하는 사법처리단계별 인권침해 문제와 개선사항 = The Study of the Reformative Approaches perceived by the juvenile delinquents in the Juvenile Justice Process

The purposes of this study are: First, to investigate juvenile delinquents' need and problems in the juvenile justice process. Second, to explore reformative approaches within juvenile justice system for correction welfare and juvenile offenders right.
To accomplish these purposes, this study used sample of 563 juvenile delinquents who are in the process of the juvenile justice. To examine this purpose, Mean, Crosstabs were conducted.
The results are as follows: 1) Juvenile delinquents in the process of the juvenile justice process have complex problems, difficulties and needs depending on gender, number of official judicial process, family income level. The violent, undemocratic, unprofessional and unfair treatment is conducted in the process of the juvenile justice.
2) Importance of juvenile justice processing cannot be exaggerated because the ways of the handling juvenile offenders will have so much impact on the their rehabilitation or recidivism. We should have a comprehensive, individual, professional strategy to meet their needs and reduce crime risk factor in the process of the juvenile justice .
3) For the successful approach to avoid labeling and to reduce the over-burden of juvenile justice, government should reorganize Juvenile Act and juvenile justice processing and development effective measures for the offender's welfare, right and correction. Introduction of presentence investigation is essential to have more professional and democratic results in early stage of the police and prosecution. The system like Youth Correction Center which provides counseling, consultation, and information to the youth and their parents needs to be established to materialize the true idea of the Juvenile Act in the police and prosecution.
