    다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

    The purpose of this study was to explore relationships between teachers' job stress and their work environment. The subjects were 162 teachers working for infants and toddlers in national, private or home childcare centers. The instruments used were Modified Teacher Occupational Stress Factor Questionnaire(Clark, 1980) and Nursery Teachers' Working Environment Questionnaire(Kim, 2001). The data were analyzed by F-test and Pearson's correlations.
    The results of this study were as follows;
    First, the job stress of the teachers was a little higher than average. Teachers' job stress levels were significantly different, depending on their age and marital status.
    Second, each teacher was in charge of 1-3 infants under one year, 4-6 infants of one year, and 7-9 toddlers of two years old. Teachers's average monthly pay was between 80-100 thousand won in most cases. They were working for 10.7 hours a day on average, and most of them felt that their health condition got 'worse'. Most of the teachers had 'not participated' in reeducation, while they perceived that a training program would be useful to their services.
    Third, the job stress of the teachers was positively correlated with the teachers' educational background, health condition, scale of facilities, number of the toddlers in charge, and the number of participation for teacher training program. The job stress was negatively correlated with teachers' age and break-time.
