답사 프로젝트를 통한 인지적 이해 모색

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study applies a combined literature and culture education to Korean literature education in liberal arts targeted towards foreign students. In addition, it suggests a field study project as an example.
In lectures on Korean literature in liberal arts for foreign students, the understanding of Korean literature history, characteristics of Korean literature, current state of the process, furthermore, and the importance and the value of Korean literature as part of world literature will be taught and learnt. One of the main successive factors in the process of teaching and learning such content depends on learners. For the foreign students, teaching Korean history and society that are the backgrounds of Korean literature history and literary works that should be accompanied with. For the very reason, it is desirable to be combined with cultural education. The author reasons that the field study project is a method that helps the learners to inquire independently and absorb knowledge as their own.
The intended location for this lecture was Jongno, Seoul, and the goal of the class was to develop the understanding and appreciation by looking into the cultural heritage and the regarding literary works of the intended location together.
The author let the students follow three steps to lead the project: first, it was a pre-stage for the field study project for which they planned and investigated. Second step was a stage for carrying out the project, students visit the place they chose and investigated. Third, was the evaluating and finishing stage, students organize the academic achievement and the meaning of the project. In each step, they made a checklist in order to improve the planning and reduce problems.
