The purpose of this paper is to show that in word formations added by affixes there are a new framework to analyze a few phonological effects, in which include syllable laxings, stress shifts, modifications of phonological structure, and allophones. When we approach the causes of the phonological effects, they may be regarded by either the innate property of affixes or the results of pword in metrical structures. Additionally they can be analysed in level structures, so that they can give us the association of vowel laxings and stress shifts, when stems are attached by suffixes. Therefore this paper will suggest a rational and consistent way to explain those phonological effects, and also consider in language learning processes how the phonological effects to be explained.
