The question of whether a business should pursue a marketing that is standardised across national markets or adapted to individual markets has long troubled practicing managers and academics. But more recently research has begun to warm against an unconditional acceptance of the standardization approach. Indeed, more and more studies about the international marketing literature have begun to show that foreign corporations can benefit greatly by specifically marketing mix to local markets within a single country.
We have to adapt our own marketing strategies to local marketing. When the oversea food franchises enter into Chinese marketing, the menus should be fit for the local food culture, the price have to adjust to the local consumers' level. If we carry out these factors, the oversea food franchise will be able to increase its competitive with other foreign food corporations.
Developing effective export marketing strategies is critical for export performance, but few prior researches focused on consumers' views. So what is the marketing localization effective? And what about consumers' attitude of company or brand that adapt the indigene. Meaning to answer the questions, in this study the localization of marketing mix as independent variables for the research on their impact on consumers' attitude of company or brand through degree of the perceived localization marketing investment.
As an exploratory study about the effect of localization marketing on brand loyalty focus on Chinese consumers' attitude about oversea food franchise.
The results of this empirical study are as follows:
Firstly, with respect to our research question, the localization marketing tactics were found to play a differential consistently positive role in affecting consumers' perceived localization marketing investment. The level of localization marketing variables is found in order product, service and promotion. But price localization is not signification.
Secondly, a second key research objective of this study was to assess the effect of perceived localization marketing investment on brand loyalty. We expected perceived localization investment to play an important role in determining consumers' attitude of brand. The results support that consumers feel obligated to reciprocate a brand's investment in the localization by increasing their loyalty to this brand. This finding implies that it pays off for oversea companies to invest in localization about consumers, because it results in increased loyalty.
