신개발국의 고등교육에서 공학의 통합적 사용을 위한 전략적 계획 -한국의 경우- = Strategic Planning For The Integration Of Technology In Higher Education In Newly Developed Countries : The Case Of Korea

This study sets out to develop an effective and acceptable Strategic Planning Process (SPP) for use by educational technologists and administrations in Koreans higher education. Technological advancement in an education system of higher learning often creates concurrent problems such as how to select and implement efficiently new learning tools and their services. Strategic planning can guide an institution in integrating state-of-the-art information technology into its instructional processes within existing constraints. The decision-making structure with respect to technological services was studied in three Korean higher education institutions with highly developed learning resource centers (LRCs) and in three higher education institutions with undeveloped LRCs. From the review of literature dealing with the state-of-the-art in planing and findings of institutional analyses, the researcher designed a tentative SPP model. The tentative model was submitted to clients and planning experts in the Minis try of Education for evaluation. A final model was developed which responded to the criticisms generated through the evaluation processes.
