한국어 신체 관용어를 활용한 비언어적 행위 교육 방안 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 한국인의 비언어적 행위의 교육 방안을 제안함으로써 외국인 학습자의 자연스러운 의사소통 능력을 함양시키는데 목적이 있다. 실제 한국인이 사용하는 비언어적 행위를 신체 관용어를 활용하므로 비언어와 언어의 통합 교육을 이루고자 한다. 이 과정에서 학습자에게 비언어적 행위에 담긴 한국의 문화적 특성에 대한 이해를 기대할 수 있다.
본고에서 제안한 교육 방안은 학습자가 여러 과제를 수행하면서 의사소통 실력을 향상시키는데 주력하는 TTT 수업 모형을 적용하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

There are many ways to strengthen foreign learners' Korean language communication skills. Among those, learners can better assimilate to the Korean culture when non-verbal behaviors that contain Korean cultural characteristics are taught and used. If their behaviors that are commonly used by Koreans are taught along with body idioms, vocabulary education can be greatly enhanced.
Not only is it important to learn the language, but it is just as vital to learn the cultural context and meaning behind body idioms. For example, native Koreans hit one's knees when he/she has a good idea. This sort of "Body idiom" is commonly and easily understood among the native speakers. However, to a foreigner, this behavior may seem odd and strange. As educators, if we are able to integrate, both non-verbal and verbal cues in the teaching methodology, we can greatly improve the foreigners' learning experience.
The aforementioned teaching method was proposed by applying the TTT model, which can improve speaking ability while providing actual non-verbal behavior experience to learners. Since learners do not actively participate in the lessons of the TTT model, concentration is required from the learners. As the task progresses, learners will be able to naturally experience non-verbal cues and use body idioms. As a result, they will be able to speak and act as naturally as the native Koreans, which will further enhance their overall Korean cultural experience.
