This study applied an interdisciplinary integration method proposed by Drake in 2007 and preservice elementary teachers developed unit and performed. By understanding preservice elementary teachers perceptions about interdisciplinary teaching, to provide basic data as a new educational method. 19 students were studied for 15 weeks. 3weeks were taught about physical education curriculum and integration, 6 weeks were designed unit by interdisciplinary integration method, and 6 weeks were made the lesson plan and demonstrated the lesson. Data was collected based on in-depth interviews, essays, research journals during 15 weeks of class, and the collected data were analyzed through inductive category analysis. The analysis results from the preservice elementary teachers recognition that ‘Instructional design by diversity and other approaches’ and ‘coexistence of possibility and difficulty’. Through these activities, participants were able to understand the changes of perception about physical education, such as ‘ instructional design method by integration of focused on physical education’, ‘ new attempts and possibility as teaching methods’, and ‘promoting the literacy of the physical education teaching methods’ and etc. In conclusion, the preservice elementary teacher education by interdisciplinary integration method focused on physical education leads to various thinking in teaching physical education. It is also possible to develop the ability to share various ideas and construct lessons through the lessons. It can be an effective teaching and learning method.
