Abstract: This study aims to examine the impact of picture book art therapy on depression among women, focusing on its effects through self-expression. To achieve the research objective stated above, we conducted an exploration of psychological changes by analyzing responses to post-activity questionnaires from 10 women in Region D who participated in picture book art therapy sessions. The picture book art therapy activities were found to alleviate the sense of inertia stemming from depression caused by women's anxiety, while also enhancing self-awareness and self-expression. This study analyzed the impact of picture book art therapy on alleviating depression in women, thereby highlighting the necessity of developing psychological treatment programs utilizing picture book art therapy. It is anticipated that through this approach, women's depression can be effectively addressed, consequently enhancing their quality of life. This text has limitations as it focused solely on ten women who immigrated to the D region within the constrained framework of picture book art therapy. To generalize the findings for future research, subsequent studies involving diverse participants in terms of age, educational level, economic background, and other factors are needed to collect and analyze more comprehensive data.
