Lee Hang didn’t live in abundance because of his father’s early death in his childhood. Lee Hang’s father-in-law who had might be his political background also was killed by a his political opponent. Therefore from a socio-economic historical point of view it must be appropriate that Lee Hang should have showed his political activities toward radical reformation or back-formation revolution. But after taking a good look at the social intercourse relations of Lee Hang, I have confirmed that Lee Hang associated with many SaDaePu(士大夫) whose political spectrum were vary extensive. Lee Hang was a SaDaePu who didn’t matched the dichotomous framework. We can perceive that from his thought. Lee Hang had his own way of living. And although in those days 性理學 was the mainstream of academy, Lee Hang believed in Buddism. For all that his view of a dynasty was based on Hang San(恒産). Lee Hang always was in a borderland of each political party, so he could never been attacked from any side of political parties. In this way not only he but also his family could prosper in the period of Chos?n Dynasty. From the aspect of conduct of life he was almost wobbler but his behavior also was a secret of success in life which an intellectual who lived in a transition period.
