다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

This paper reanalyzes various linguistic expressions involving the expletive there by elaborating on the Feature Matching Hypothesis (Chomsky1998). It is eventually to argue for the claim proposed in Chomsky(1995) that the expletive there is a pure expletive that bears only the categorical feature without Case. The Mutual Greed Principle, which is supposed to play a key role in explaining the data, is proposed that features matching takes place in a beneficiary manner for both Probe and Goal such that uninterpretive Case feature of Goal is also to delete when uninterpretive φ feature of Probe deletes in the process of matching. It supports the assumption that Case is not an independent feature but a subsidiary feature that is to be deleted before the derivation completes.
