초기 영아기 기질특성에 따른 상호주의 능력의 발달 = Early Temperament Contributions to Individual Differences in Joint Attention Skills Development

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 영아기 초기 기질특성에 따른 상호주의 능력의 발달의 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 6개월에 IBQ-R을 이용하여 측정한 기질특성과 8,9개월에서 14,15개월까지 3개월 간격으로 실시된 사회적 의사소통능력 실험에 모두 참여한 총 91명의 영아였다. 14개의 하위척도에서 얻은 표준점수를 가지고 집단을 구분하였을 때, 연구대상 영아들은 “원만한 집단”, “높은 반응집단”, “낮은 반응집단”, “다소 까다로운 집단”등 4가지 유의미한 기질 특성을 가진 집단으로 구분될 수 있었다. 이 집단 간에 상호주의 능력의 발달패턴을 비교하였을 때, “낮은 반응집단”의 영아들은 월령의 증가에도 불구하고 상호주의 시도행동이 증가되지 않았으며, 더구나 높은 수준의 상호주의 시도 행동은 14,15개월이 되어서도 전혀 나타나지 않았다. 또한 상호주의에 대한 반응행동 또한 다른 집단의 영아들이 공통적으로 나타내는 발달패턴과는 달리 14,15개월이 되면 오히려 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 초기영아기에 측정된 기질의 차이가 사회적 의사소통능력의 건강한 발달을 예측할 수 있는 위험요인이 될 수 있는 가능성이 논의되었다.
