韓國人의 M.M.P.I.에 關한 硏究 : 우울症의 M.M.P.I. The M.M.P.I. of Depression = STUDIES ON THE M.M.P.I. OF KOREANS

Studies on the Standardized (revised) MMPI for Koreans were conducted on the psychiatric patients.
The summary of the results were as follows.
1. Even though there were some elevated scores for the psychiatric patients compared with normal group, no significant differences were found in the validity scales.
2. The results of clinical scales were as follows :
a) The hysterical neurosis and psychophysioliogic disorder showed elevated score on the Hs. scale.
b) The neurotic depression, depression of MDI, hypochondriacal neurosis and anxiety neurosis showed elevated score in the D. scale.
c) The hysterical neurosis, anxiety neurosis, hypochondriacal neurosis, psychophysiologic disorder and neurotic depression showed elevated score in the Hy. scale.
d) The score of mania wis elevated and there was no special findings in the Mf. scale.
e) The score of mania was elevated in the Pa. scale.
f). The anxiety neurosis, neurotic depression, hypochondriacal neurosis and depression of MDI showed elevated score in the Pt. scale.
g) The anxiety neurosis, neurotic depression and depression of MDI showed elevated score in the Sc. scale.
h) The score of mania was elevated in the Ma. scale.
3. The results of research scales were as follows :
a) The neurotic depression, anxiety neurosis, hypochondriacal neurosis and depression of MDI showed elevated score and mania was low score in the Si. scale.
b) The psychophysiologic disorder and hysterical neurosis showed slightly elevated score in the Es. scale.
c) The neurotic depression, anxiety neurosis, depression of MDI and hypochondrical neurosis showed elevated score in the A.I. and the mania was low.
d) The neurotic depression, depression of MDI, hypochondriacal neurosis and anxiety neurosis showed elevated score in the I.R.
4. There were no significant differences in the profile pattern compared with the original MMPI in the korean psychiatric patients.
5. From the results of the study, the standardized MMPI for koreans was regarded as useful in the clinical application for the psychiatric patients.
