This study analyzed 133 cases collected from one-stop centers located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Province, victims of which were investigated by experts. Indictment and conviction results of those cases were compared with equivalents from 2005 to 2008. Frequency analyses presented that the indictment rates increased slightly in the child abuse cases while the indictment rates had sharply increased in the cases of the disabled victims. In case of conviction rates great increases were found both in child victims as well as the victims with disabilities. These results indicate that expert involvement in a stage of investigation could convince prosecutors and judges of the victims``s statement which used to be treated as unreliable. Additionally, four statement validity instruments were explored to measure how each instrument affects on the indictment and conviction. As a result, RM produced statistically significant effect on the child abuse cases.
