중·고등학생의 다문화 인식에 관한 연구 = A study on the middle and high school students′multicultural awareness

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to understand realities and degree of
awareness from which middle, high school students of Jeon-buk areas and
indicate the way of multicultural education.
Contents of this study is as below.
First, understand the degree of awareness about each background (sex,
grade, multicultural education) multicultural on Jeon-buk areas middle, high
school students.
Second, clarify the relationship between informal multicultural and
awareness.
Third, consider what effects self-esteem play a role with middle,high
school student's multicultural awareness.
Fourth, understand the correlation between informal multural experiences
and multicultural awareness and understand a primary fact that effects on
multicultural awareness.
Objects of study are 608 boys and girls in middle, high school students
in 13 schools Jeon-la-buk-do and It is made from Jeon-ju area, other city
areas, town, and sub-county.
Data analysis is made with SPSS/PC+18.0 program to make t-test and
One way ANOVA and Scheffé examination is held for after test.
And correlation analysis is performed to understand the relationship
between informal multicutural experience and self- esteem and
multicultural awareness.
Conclusion of this study is as below;
First, thers was differences according to each individual background (
sex, grade, multicultural education) of middle, high school students'
awareness of multicultural.
It is approved that boys awareness is higher than that of girls and
higher If the grades are higher and Jeon-ju area is higher than other
areas.
Second, informal multicultural experiences was meaningful for middle,
high school students' multucultural awareness. The higher informal
multicultural experiences, the higher multicultural awareness.
Third, It's approved that the higher self-esteem, the higher multicultural
awareness of middle, high school students.
Fourth, there's prominent correlation between informal multicultural
experiences and awareness.
Conclusion of this study is as below.
First, personal background, multicultural education experiences, informal
multicultural experiences and self-esteem are all effect on multicultural
awareness.
Second, multicultural education is needed through Media frequently used.
Third, informal multicultural education(mess-media education, direction
education, consultation and text book education) that experiences in our
lives and multicultural education or program for middle, high school
students is required.
