The relationship between children and parents, who have the greatest influence in the home regarding gaming, which has become a major leisure activity for teenagers, has mainly been perceived from the perspective of generational conflict and confrontation. Through in-depth interviews, the purpose of this study is to examine the growth and changes in social perception of children over the years and to look beyond the conflicts and collision, This study is part of a follow-up study from four years ago. Despite changes in parents' perceptions due to the development of the gaming industry and eSports, the tug-of-war relationship with their children has continued. For the parent generation, their children's gaming is seen as 'inevitable' and causes 'anxiety,' but eSports play, attending tournaments, and participating in related events are perceived as 'smart choices' by their children and are seen as 'safe' activities. Consequently, the ethical value of eSports, as viewed by parents, lies in its 'safety,' which is considered the most important value of everyday eSports for teenagers.
