This study was conducted on sixteen healthy women in their 20s and 30s to investigate the effect of cleaning by a type, and the effect of cleansing on the Sebum and Hydaration recovery of each different type of skin according to the cleansing type and frequency of face-washing. For this study, gel cleanser and deep foam cleanser of N products made in J Company on sale were selected. The products were kept in the constant temperature of 22±5°C and humidity of 50±10%, and study subjects used water, the gel cleanser, and the deep foam cleanser to wash the right side of face first, and then wash the left side of face. In this case, they used one product one time a day, and thus performed the test three times. In order to choose the exact part for measurement and the equal amount of the products, this researcher equally applied BB cream on the entire face at firsthand, and 30 minutes later, measured the amount of Sebum and Hydaration for three hours. The naked-eye measurement and the measurement of horny substance amount, Sebum and Hydarationamount were performed to conduct a test about the removal capability of each cleansing cosmetics. As a result of the measurement, there was no difference between light gel cleanser and the deep foam cleanser for the management of pores. Regarding the changes in Sebum and Hydarationof each different kind of skin according to a cleansing type, dry skin showed low rate of Sebum recovery but high rate of Hydaration recovery, and Sebumy skin showed more than 40% of initial recovery rates of Sebum and Hydaration. Regarding the changes in Sebum and Hydaration of each different skin according to the frequency of face-washing, dry skin had low initial recovery rate of Sebum but high recovery rate of Hydaration in the case of one and two times of face-washing. And in the case of Sebumy skin, the larger frequency face-washing is, the lower recovery rate of Sebum is, but the Sebumy skin had more than 40% of initial recovery rate of Sebum. The initial recovery rate of Hydarationamounted to more than 40% in the case of one time of face-washing, and it reached more than 50% in the case of two times of face-washing. This is attributable to the physiological constancy of skin.
The result of this study indicated that it is necessary to recognize the necessity of cleanser by each different skin type with the consideration of the changes in Sebum and Hydaration after cleansing, rather than to give any meaning to removal capability of each cleansing product. Therefore, it is meaningful to reduce the stress of unique skin recovery power by lowering the sensitivity of skin. In addition, this study is meaningful in the point that it is necessary for people to have a habit of washing their face one time by reducing the skin stress, regarding the frequency of face-washing.
