상호문화교육의 설계와 전망: 우리나라 대학생의 상호문화역량을 중심으로 = A design and prospect of intercultural education: Focusing on the intercultural competence of Korean university students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, intercultural education has attracted attention in relation to resolving multicultural conflicts. However, since our academic community has not yet actively studied what intercultural education is and how it should be implemented, there is a great difficulty in the field where it should be implemented. Therefore, the researcher judged that it is urgent to specify the content and method of intercultural education, and through in-depth interviews with 26 university students, extracted the knowledge-skills-attitudes necessary for successful interaction. As a result, the researcher was able to capture that our university students urgently needed not only cultural understanding but also human understanding, and also scientific thinking ability cultivation and narrative imagination were needed. Based on this, the researcher was able to specify and present two content areas and methodological principles of intercultural education: 'culture handling education' and 'honest humanity education'. In order to successfully promote such mutual cultural education, it was emphasized that a lifelong educational approach to mutual cultural education is needed along with efforts to turn schools and educational institutions into public dialogue for mutual cultural conversation.
