일본 부토(舞踏)를 통해 본 한국창작무용의 과제 = Task of Korean Creative Dance in the Light of Butho of Japan

국문 초록 (Abstract)

부토는 이미 세계무용사에서 독자적이고 확고한 영역을 차지하고 있으며 그동안 우리의 무용계에도 적지 않은 영향을 미쳐왔다. 그리고 그 일례로써 우리는 한국창작무용의 작품을 통하여 드러나는 부토와의 상관성 또한 확인할 수 있었다. 하지만 우리가 일본의 부토를 통하여 한국창작무용의 미래적 과제를 도출해 내고자 할 때 무엇보다 먼저 대두되는 것은 `전통`의 문제이다. 원래 부토는 그들의 전통춤인 가부키와 노의 정신적 영향을 받으면서도 양식적으로는 독립된 하나의 장르로 태생되어 발전하였다. 따라서 우리의 창작무용 또한 `전통`의 문제를 어떻게 풀어나갈 것인지에 대한 심각한 고민을 하여야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Butho has already had exclusive and firm area in the world dance history, and also quite affected our dance field. This fact can be proved by the interrelationship of our dance works with Butho. They have driven the genre-destruction phenomenon by daringly dismantling the existing tradition, or positively trying to integrate the tradition with the modern dance. This phenomenon presents an example suggesting the acceptance of tradition is fundamental, as well as diverse. The concept of the tradition, however, can be an obstacle as well as an asset for the development of our creative dance. We can see the aspect in Butho. Therefore, the key for our dance`s `globalization through modernization` is to establish the criteria and standards how we should accept and utilize our `tradition` when we accept and digest both positive and negative aspects which the world dance field as well as Butho faces today.
