자율적 동기와 타율적 동기의 종단적 공동발달 = 부모 양육구조의 예측효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 자율적 동기와 타율적 동기의 변화양상과 발달궤적 간 관계를 밝히고, 부모 양육구조가 두 영역의 발달궤적에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국교육개발원이 실시한 한국교육종단연구의 2차, 3차, 5차년도 자료를 이용하여 잠재성장모델(latent growth curve modeling)을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 자율적 동기와 타율적 동기는 선형적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자율적 동기와 타율적 동기의 발달궤적 간 관계에서 타율적 동기의 초기치가 높을수록 자율적 동기가 낮아졌다. 타율적 동기의 초기치는 자율적 동기의 변화율을 유의미하게 예측하지만, 자율적 동기의 초기치는 타율적 동기의 변화율을 예측하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 부모 양육구조 중 부모의 정서적 지원은 자율적 동기와 타율적 동기의 발달에 모두 영향을 미치는 공통예측요인이었다. 그러나 부모의 성취기대와 통제는 자율적 동기와 타율적 동기의 발달에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 교육적 함의 및 후속연구에 대한 제언이 논의되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study was to investigate the co-development of autonomous and controlled motivation and then to identify the parental factors which affect the trajectories of autonomous and controlled motivation. Latent growth curve modeling was applied to the data drawn from Korea Education Longitudinal Study, a longitudinal data of middle school students in the second grade. Our findings suggested that (a) not only autonomous motivation but also controlled motivation decreased for four years; (b) the initial level of controlled motivation predicted the developmental pattern of autonomous motivation negatively; and (c) parental support was a common cross-domain predictor, whereas achievement expectation and behavioral control of parents predicted developmental pattern of neither autonomous nor controlled motivation. The implications for future research and intervention were also discussed.
