<심청전>에 나타난 기도의 문학교육적 효용성 연구 = A Study on the Value of Prayer on <Shim Chung0cheon> to Apply to Literature Education

A Study On the Value of the Prayer in <Shim Chung-Cheon> to Apply to Literature EducationSeo, Yu-KyungThis paper noticed that the prayer of the character in <Shim Chung-Cheon> varied through reproduction of <Shim Chung-Cheon>, so tried to find out those value and effectiveness. The prayer in <Shim Chung-Cheon> is not the indispensable factor but exists with the essential and important factor and varies going through versions. That point is important, because the aspect is the evidence of the response by the audience. This phenomenon shows how audience interact with the literature, so it is noteworthy in the point of literature education. From this point of view, this paper aims that the prayer in <Shim Chung-Cheon> is effective element and text in literature education. Especially the narrative element of the prayer is related to the emotional communication with the literature. In <Shim Chung-Cheon> praying scene is often expressed comparing with the other work. And it is mostly connected with the main story.For these purpose, it is examined that how the prayer of the character is expressed in <Shim Chung-Cheon>, and what is the function of the prayer in <Shim Chung-Cheon>. Finally, it is discussed that what is the value of the prayer and how we can apply to the literature education. The aspect of the prayer in <Shim Chung-Cheon> can be structurized to three character：the mother of Shim Chung, the father of Shim Chung, and Shim Chung. And the function of the prayer can be summarized to intermediation with the stage of the narrative and self-salvation through filling up the lack of something. It is found that the value of the praying in literature education is 1)sympathetic experience of the literature, 2)self-investigation by applying to same situation, 3)emotional healing through the enjoyment of literature.
