초등교사의 여행 경험과 초등지리교육 - 전환학습을 중심으로 - = Elementary School Teachers` Travel Experiences and Elementary Geography Education - Focusing on Transformative Learning -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

With ever increasing emphasis on educational meaning of travel today, travel has important meaning not only for students but also for teachers who experience society constantly as adult learners and practice elementary geography education. Especially, this study paid attention to the fact that elementary school teachers` travel experiences can be a motive for `transformative leaning.` Thus, through in-depth understanding on the elementary school teachers` travel experiences by using the questionnaire and interviews, this study explored elementary school teachers` perception on travel and utilization (aspects) of travel experiences in elementary geography lessons and drew out value of travel in elementary geography education. In addition, study also investigated experiences in travel process which became the motives of transformative learning, which are, for example, identity experiences as a minority, dynamic experiences on international situations and reflective experiences of view on life, and explored how they affected elementary geography classes. This study is expected to have value as an opportunity to seek out the meanings of travel in elementary geography education in diverse perspectives.
