특수교육 기본 교육과정의 즐거운 생활과 재구조화 연구 : 예술 중심 통합의 가능성을 중심으로 = A Study on the Restructuring of the Pleasant Life Curriculum for Special Education: Focusing on the Possibility of an Arts-Integrated Approach

This study focuses on the need to restructure the “Pleasant Life” subject for grades 1–2 in the special education basic curriculum as an arts-integrated curriculum centered on music and visual arts. While the current 2022 revised special education “Pleasant Life” curriculum adopts a play-based integrated approach, music and art activities remain at the level of sensory stimulation, lacking structured inclusion of artistic expression and emotional communication. Therefore, this study explores the feasibility of restructuring the subject into an arts-centered integrated curriculum by synthesizing the restructuring direction proposed in the general curriculum, analyses of the 2022 special education music and art curricula for grades 3–4, a word cloud analysis, and expert opinions.
The results indicate that reorganizing the subject along the flow of artistic experience—sensory exploration, appreciation, and expression—can provide an educational foundation that strengthens emotional expression, self-awareness, and communal interaction for students. Based on these findings, this study proposes a revised framework for the subject's nature and goals, content structure, and sample achievement standards. These results are expected to offer meaningful integrated learning experiences for students with disabilities and expand the potential for holistic development through artistic engagement.
