This study was undertaken to discuss the awareness of the judo competitors, thereby providing the coaches and administrators with necessary materials for the purpose of enhancing the competitors performance skills 243 judo competitors were sampled randomly. The awareness structure which were considered to be the influencing factors to their performance and achievement motivation in terms of themselves, their family, team and society, were analysed. The implications of the study are as follows;
1. Their awareness as judo competitors in terms of aptitude, satisfaction and
expectations was positive as a whole.
2. The competitors felt pretty positive toward their families. The support and
expectations of their parents, brothers and sisters were high, while the competitors were generally negative toward their children to be judo competitors in the future.
3. They felt wholly positive toward their team. Adult competitors were more positive than junior and college competitors. They had lots of troubles in training and academic subjects in school.
4. They also felt positive toward the society. However the competitors with the career of 4 and 6 years had lower satisfaction. They worried much about their status after the retirement.
