서울의 민속문화 연구 및 활용 방안 모색

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 서울의 민속문화 연구 및 활용 방안을 모색한 글이다. 이 글에서는 먼저 서울 민속의 범위를 살폈는데, 현재 서울의 시민들이 누리고 있는 삶을 바탕으로 하는 생활이라고 정의하였다. 그러면서 여러 민속학개론서에서 분류하고 있는 하위 유형을 가져와 서울 민속의 전승 양상을 살폈다. 다음으로 서울 민속의 몇 가지 특징을 제시했다. 첫째, 서울민속은 거대도시라는 외면만큼 서울이 내실 있는 도시임을 알려준다. 둘째 서울민속은 다양한 문물을 수용하여 재창조되었고, 도시문화로 존재한다. 셋째, 서울민속은 전국으로 지평을 확장하였고, 다층적 성격을 보여주고, 개방성과 융합성을 보여준다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 서울민속의 활용 방안 몇 가지를 제시했다. ‘서울의 생활, 서울민속 축제’ 기획, ‘서울의 마을굿 대동잔치’ 기획, ‘서울을 누비자, 걷기 한마당’ 기획 등을 제시했다. 마지막으로 서울 민속 체험관의 확충을 제시하면서 각 자치구에서도 구 지정 무형문화재 지원제도를 활성화할 필요가 있다고 했다. 이러한 서울민속의 활용을 통해 서울은 정체성을 확인할 수 있다. 또한 다양한 종교문화가 어울린 도시가 될 수 있다. 아울러 역사와 뿌리가 살아있는 도시가 된다. 서울민속은 세대를 넘어선 문화가 숨 쉬는 도시로 서울을 부각시키는 핵심이 될 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article is a study exploring the folk culture of Seoul and its utilization. I first investigate the range of Seoul in this article, and it was defined as the life of citizens in Seoul. At the same time, the aspects of Seoul Folk traditions are also studied with sub-types that classified in the aspects of folklore from various research of folklore introduction. Then some features of folklore of Seoul were presented. First, Seoul folklore tells that the city of Seoul has internal stability as well as its appearance as a metropolis. Second, Seoul has been recreated to accommodate a variety of folk civilizations, and it exists as an urban culture. Third, the folklore of Seoul was expanding its horizons across the country, showing the multi-layered nature, and it shows the openness and convergence in its property. Based on this, several plans of utilization of folklore of Seoul were proposed. ‘Life of Seoul, planning of Seoul Folk Festival’, ‘shamanism rituals of Dedong village’ and ‘Walk Festival of Seoul’ were proposed. Finally, the expansion of the Seoul Folk Experience museum was proposed to enable the designated intangible cultural asset support system in each borough. Through the utilization of folklore of Seoul, the identity of Seoul can be confirmed. It can also be a city of various religious cultures. In addition, Seoul can be a city of living history and root. Seoul folklore may be the key to highlight the culture beyond the generations.
