This paper examines the new educational approach to find the relationship between individual employment outcomes and educational attainment based on a revised mincer equation. While prior studies of mincer equations have provided diverse ways to interpret the role of education for measuring individual wage from an economic perspective, the detailed educational conceptualization is omitted because the studies have dealt in the education variable as an input of production factor market. This study tries to find the hidden educational interpretations in the model and searches for alternative ways to measure the graduates’ employment outcome instead of the simple wage concept based on the economic perspective. This approach implies how higher education researchers can evaluate student outcomes after graduation by educational attainment and practical learning experiences.
