ThThis study shows the effect of using the structural patterns strategy in teaching “kan and its sisters” and negation particles to Korean non-native speakers of Arabic at the intermediate level (B1). To determine the effectiveness of the strategy, the researcher conducts an experimental study following the semi-experimental and analytical-statistical approaches by selecting a targeted research sample from students in their second year in the Department of Arabic at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies’ Seoul and Yongin campuses, administering a pre-lesson standardized test on the subject, applying the strategy, and administering a post-lesson standardized test to the same group. By processing the statistical differences between the results of the tests given before and after the application of the strategy, the study demonstrates the success of applying the structural patterns strategy to Korean students of Arabic.
