한라생태숲 탐방의 선택속성 및 지불의사금액 추정에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Selection Attributes and Willingness to Pay Amount for Halla Ecological Forest Visiting

The purpose of this research is to estimate potential healing value that Halla Ecological Forest offers to Jeju society using contingent valuation method. To reduce seasonal differences and sample selection bias, this study collects the effective 740 questionnaires from visitors in Halla Ecological Forest through spring, summer, and fall.
The estimated results of this study can be summarized as follows : First of all, 87.3 % of the visitors are satisfied with the Halla Ecological Forest, which was first constructed in Korea, and 94.1% of the visitors recommended the Halla ecological forest visiting.
Next, In the Importance and satisfaction aspects of the selection attributes items including the convenience of transportation, access to residential areas, health promotion and healing, forest tracking, forest exploration programs, and observation of plant ecology, the average score of the individual items is highly value at 4.157 an 4.152, respectively. And, health promotion and healing item is ranked highest of these items.
Furthermore, the average willingness to pay amount per visit was estimated at 1,200 won to the Halla Ecological Forest, which is considered to be very significant at a rate of not less than 1 %. The results of this study can be used as a useful source of information regarding the development of policy related to the Halla Ecological Forest or to better understand the citizens involved in the policy.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 가상가치평가법에 의하여 한라생태숲이 제주 사회에 제공하는 환경보전의 가치와 더불어 잠재적인 힐링의 가치를 추정하는 데 있다. 표본자료의 수집은 계절적 편차와 표본 편의를 줄이기 위하여 한라생태숲을 방문하는 탐방객을 대상으로 봄, 여름, 가을 등 3차례에 걸쳐 한라생태숲 탐방의 선택속성 및 지불의사금액 추정을 위하여 1대 1 면접방식에 의한 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 유효표본 740부를 대상으로 분석 하였다. 본 연구의 추정 결과는 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 우선, 우리나라 처음으로 조성된 한라생태숲(Eco-Forest) 탐방에 대해 이용자 87.3%가 만족하고 있으며, 한라 생태숲 이용에 대한 추천 의사 역시 94.1%로 높게 나타나고 있다. 다음으로 교통의 편리성, 거주지와의 접근성, 건강증진 및 힐링, 산림트래킹, 숲체험프로그램, 식물생태의 관찰 등 선택속성 조사결과, 항목 전체의 평균 중요도 및 만족도 면에서 각각 4.157과 4.152로 매우 높은 평가를 받고 있으며, 이들 개별항목 중 건강증진 및 힐링이 가장 높은 평가를 받고 있다. 더욱이 한라생태숲 탐방 1회당 평균 지불의사금액은 대략 1,200원으로 추정되었으며, 1% 이하의 통계적 수준에서 매우 유의한 것으로 나타나고 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 한라생태숲과 관련된 환경정책을 수립하거나 환경정책 수립의 이해를 돕는데 유용한 정보로 활용될 수 있다.
