초등학교 저학년 아동의 낱말의미검사 개발을 위한 타당성 예비연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This pilot study examined the validity and reliability of the Word Semantic Test (WST) which was developed to evaluate the semantic knowledge of word association, word definition, and semantic absurdities for elementary school children. The WST was developed through a research review in which six SLPs evaluated content validity. The REVT (Kim et al., 2009) and the WST were then applied to 84 normal grade 1-3 children. Constructive validity through correlations between total and subtest scores was measured, as was concurrent validity through correlation between the WST and the REVT Reliability was measured by Chronbach’s α. The result shows significant group differences in the word association, semantic absurdities, and total score. The content validity index was found to be a minor characteristic, whereas correlations between the REVT and these test scores were significant. There were significant correlations between the total and subtest’s scores. Chronbach’s α. value for the total score was .82. These results revealed that this developing test was relatively reliable and valid but that it is necessary to modify the content with high-frequency words and to standardized the test on the basis of results with a much larger sample of children.
