GI협동학습 모형을 적용한 지속가능한 디자인 수업이 학습자의 세계시민의식에 미치는 영향 : 중학교 3학년을 중심으로 = The effects of a sustainable design class applying the GI model on the global citizenship of students in the third year of middle school

The objective of this study is to develop a sustainable product design class by applying the GI Cooperatie Model and examine the effects of the class on the global citizenship of the students. To this end, this study developed a sustainable design class by applying the GI cooperative model through selecting chapters based on a theoretical review of major concepts and an analysis of the middle-school art curriculum. The 'sustainable design class including the GI Cooperative Model' was applied to two classes of third grade students (33 students in one class being the experimental group, and the other 33 being the control group) in S Middle School of Y City. Consisting of six sessions, the 'GI Model-based sustainable design class' was applied to the experimental group of 33 students, and the 'traditional small-group art class' to the control group of 33 students. A revised 30-question version of 'A Questionnaire on the Factual Research of Teenagers' Qualification on Global Citizenship' by Research Center for Adolescents of Korea(2003) was used to measure the global citizenship of the students. The data collected was processed by using the SPSS Ver 19.0 statistical software. The result of the experiment shows that the 'GI Model-based design class' had positive effects on the global citizenship and other subordinate articles of the experimental group students compared to the control group students.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 GI협동학습 모형을 적용한 지속가능한 제품 디자인 수업을 개발하고, 이를 통해 학습자의 세계시민의식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지 그 효과성을 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 주요 개념에 대한 이론적 고찰과 중학교 미술과 교육과정 분석을 통해 단원을 선정하고 GI협동학습 모형을 적용한 지속가능한 디자인 수업을 설계하였다. Y시에 소재한 S중학교 3학년 2개 학급을 실험집단(33명), 통제집단(33명)으로 선정하고 실험집단에는 GI협동학습 모형을 적용한 지속가능한 디자인 수업을, 통제집단에는 전통적 소집단학습을 적용한 지속가능한 디자인 수업을 각 6차시 실시하였다. 세계시민의식의 측정 도구는 한국청소년개발원(2003)에서 개발한 ‘청소년 세계시민 자질에 관한 실태조사 설문지’를 재구성한 30문항을 활용하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS Ver 19.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 전산통계 처리 하였다. 실험 결과, GI협동학습 모형을 적용한 지속가능한 디자인 수업이 중학교 3학년의 세계시민의식 및 모든 하위 영역에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다.
