거울뉴런(mirror neurons)의 존재, 상징적 상호작용론과의 관계 및 교육학적 의미 = The relation between mirror neurons and the symbolic interaction theory, and their pedagogical significance

국문 초록 (Abstract)

상징적 상호작용론은 연구의 초점을 학교의 실제생활에 위치시키며 학교에서 일어나는 명시적 혹은 묵시적 상호작용과 실천에 대한 이해 제고에 많은 기여를 하였다. 상징적 상호작용론의 여러 관점을 종합하여 이론적 관점을 제시한 Mead는 정신, 자아, 사회가 사회적 상호작용을 바탕으로 어떻게 출현하고 유지되고 있는지를 보여주었다. 특히 정신과 자아에 대한 Mead의 관점은 현대 뇌 과학연구의 거울뉴론의 작용에 해당하는 것이어서 주목을 받고 있다. 거울뉴런은 인간의 마음 특히 공감을 이해하는 원천으로 여겨지고 행동경제학의 근거를 제공해준다는 점에서 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 본 연구는 Mead의 상징적 상호작용론과 거울뉴론 이론에 대한 분석을 토대로 두 관점의 유사점과 차이점을 분석하고, 어떻게 거울뉴런이 상징적 상호작용론에서 제기되는 문제에 대한 신경학적 이해를 제시하는지 제시하였다. Mead가 제시한 의미, 상상적 시연 등이 거울뉴런에서 행동 이해와 체화된 시뮬레이션과 어떻게 연관되는지를 설명하였다. 마지막으로 거울뉴런의 교육학적 의미를 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Symbolic interaction theory placed the focus of research on the real life of schools and contributed a lot to improving understanding of explicit or implicit interactions and practices occurring in schools. Mead, who presented a theoretical perspective by synthesizing various viewpoints of symbolic interactionism, showed how the mind, self, and society emerged and maintained based on social interaction. In particular, Mead s perspective on the mind and the self is attracting attention because it corresponds to the operation of mirror neurons in modern brain science research. Mirror neurons are receiving a lot of attention because they are considered a source of understanding the human mind, especially empathy, and provide a basis for behavioral economics. Based on Mead s analysis of symbolic interaction theory and mirror neuron theory, this study analyzes the similarities and differences between the two perspectives, and suggests how mirror neurons present a neurological understanding of the problems posed by symbolic interaction theory. It was explained how the meanings and imaginary demonstrations suggested by Mead are related to behavior understanding and embodied simulations in mirror neurons. Finally the pedagogical implications of mirror neurons were presented.
