동화를 활용한 미술치료가 학령기 발달장애 아동의 언어능력에 미치는 효과 = On How Effective Art Therapy with Use of Children's Story Can Be on Linguistic Competence of School-Aged Children with Developmental Disorder

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to check if art therapy programs utilizing children's story can help the linguistic skills of school aged children with developmental disorder.
Study subjects are selected among the developmental disorder children of school age who attend the 00 language academy located in Pusan. The entire number of subjects are 8, and they are divided into the controlled group of 4 and the experimental group of 4. The art therapy program lasted from November-2005 to October-2005, meeting twice a week, each time 60 minutes of duration, and total 85 sessions.
SPSS-WIN 12.0 is used for data analysis, in that ANCOVA based on pre-test as covariance is employed to raise verification of difference between the two groups.
Conclusions obtained from the study results are as follows.
First, art therapy with children's story is effective to improve receptive linguistic competence of the school aged children with developmental disorder(F=36.429, p<.02).
Second, art therapy with children's story is effective to improve expressive language skills of the school aged with developmental disability(F=31.808 p<.01).
Through the obtained results, derived conclusions, and revealed limits of the study, some suggestions can be generated as follows.
First, a greater number of subjects from not only the children of school age but also preschool children as well as adolescents must be selected for comparative studies to generalize the effect of art therapy with children's story on language development.
Second, it is desirable that art therapy programs with children's story should be designed in a way that the programs can create good effects on the lack of both language skills and other skills necessary for children's development.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구의 목적은 동화를 활용한 미술치료 프로그램이 학령기 발달장애 아동의 언어능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다.
연구대상은 부산의 00언어교육원에 의뢰된 발달장애 아동들 중 학령기 아동 8명을 추출하여 실험대상 4명과 비교대상 4명으로 하였다. 개별미술치료프로그램은 2004년 11월에서 2005년 10월까지 1년 동안 주 2회씩 회기 당 60분씩 실시하여 사전, 사후검사를 제외한 총 85회기를 실시하였다.
본 연구의 효과를 검증하기 위해 프로그램 실시 전․후에 구문의미 이해력검사와 언어 문제 해결력검사를 실시한 후 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 하였다.
연구 결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
첫째, 동화를 활용한 미술치료가 학령기 발달장애 아동의 수용언어능력 향상에 효과가 있었다.
둘째, 동화를 활용한 미술치료가 학령기 발달장애 아동의 표현언어능력 향상에 효과가 있었다.
이상의 결과를 통해 동화를 활용한 미술치료가 학령기 발달장애 아동의 수용언어능력 및 표현언어능력에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 언어발달을 미술이라는 매체를 통해 아동에게 친근하고 쉽게 접근할 수 있었으며, 비언어적인 자연스러운 미술활동이 아동에게 언어를 자연스럽고 친근하게 이해하고 표현할 수 있는 기회를 제공하였다.
