율곡 공부론 이해의 단초로서 호연지기론 연구 = A Study on Yulgok`s Theory of Gongfu(工夫) -With the Focus on Haoranzhiqi(浩然之氣)

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this thesis is to illuminate the distinctive character of Yi-I``s theory of Gongfu (工夫) through the concept of haoranzhiqi (浩然之氣). Yi-I’s interpretation of haoranzhiqi (浩然之氣) has hardly received any attention until now, especially in relation to the theory of Gongfu (工夫). When dealing with Yi-I``s haoranzhiqi (浩然之氣), the debate between Zhu Xi and Lu zu jian concerning its significance should be taken into account; Jeong Yakyong insists, without reasonable foundation, that the two philosophers take the same stance in their interpretation of haoranzhiqi (浩然之氣). Furthermore, the influences of Lu zu jian``s theory of haoranzhiqi (浩然之氣) can be found in some scholors of the 17C Chosun dynasty who protest to the Zhu Xi``s Li(理). A thorough comparison of the two theories brings resolve to the issue whether the academic identity of Yi-I differs from that of Zhu Xi or not.
